About Ecolodge
La Granja

Welcome

La Granja means The Farm in Spanish. The name refers to the small farm where I live with my husband and where my Ecolodge is located. I am originally from Chile and studied Hospitality there.

La Granja originated from the idea that I want to introduce people to our beautiful surroundings, but in a sustainable and honest way. My belief is that you should enjoy yourself, but with care for the environment and our planet.

See you soon at Ecolodge La Granja,

Macarena and Johan

Community

The various activities you can undertake in the area are coordinated with local partners. In this way we contribute to the local community.

Culture

Veenendaal and the surrounding area have interesting sights for culture lovers. We have a good relationship with the authorities that provide this. We are committed to preserving culture by making our guests enthusiastic about, for example, a visit to a windmill.

Local trade (commerce)

We buy as much local products as possible from local companies such as flour, milk, yogurt, butter, eggs, vegetables, fruit and meat.

By creating a holistic balance between nature conservation, community, culture and trade (commerce), we contribute to the steps towards a healthy planet through these so-called 4Cs.

Conservation

Our contribution to a sustainable ecosystem includes the use of solar panels, canal water for garden irrigation, car charging poles, waste separation, organic composting, Accoya® wooden facades, local products, eco linen, ecological soap and shampoo and the entire ecolodge is natural gas-free.

We support biodiversity through our own bee colony and facilitate local nature through facilities for storks, stone and barn owls, frogs and toads and various types of birds.
